Strategic planning is the managerial decision process that matches the organization s resources and capabilities to its changing market opportunities for long term growth and survival. The marketing mix consists of four groups of variables known as the “four Ps”: product, price, place, and promotion. One marketing expert suggests that companies should view the four Ps in terms of the customer s four Cs: Product—Customer needs and wants; Price—Cost to the customer; Place—Convenience; Promotion—Communication.

After all, you can hardly expect us to finance your sales promotion.
